Drone videographers in Sydney with 5 tips for creating the best drone videos

Here at Airborne Studios, our drone videographers in Sydney explain that drones can be used to shoot a variety of stunning, professional videos.

Our experts in aerial drone photography and videography share 3 tips to keep in mind, if you want to produce beautiful videos from above:

Keep an eye on the weather: Never fly a drone during windy conditions. Winds can pick up quickly and they will throw your drone off course, even causing it to crash. Always check the weather forecast prior to using your drone for filming. For the most up to date conditions, our drone videographers suggest heading to www.bom.gov.au.

Check your lighting conditions: Many camera drones are unable to deal with a high level of contrast. Avoid facing into the sun where possible and check your image isn't washed out. As with photography, early morning and early evening can produce the most beautiful lighting.

Check drone flight regulations: Before taking flight, you must ensure that you are not flying into restricted airspace or any area where it could disrupt air traffic. Avoid fines and penalties by checking droneflyer.gov.au, before you fly.

If you don’t pay attention to regulations, set by the FAA, you could potentially end up facing fines or even more serious consequences.
